Changed the front rotors + pads, changed rear pads and rotated tires. Used Akebono Pads front and rear, with Wearever rotors on the front!

Parts Left to Install: Wipers, Cabin Air Filter, TKT-026 Timing Belt Kit + Cam/Crank Seals, Accessory Belts, Thermostat

Interesting is the only word coming to mind. Not really a fan of it I guess. Good choice in music though

Here's a video on how the front lip was wrapped in Satin Black Vinyl:

Washed, polished, clay bar and waxed my Lexus yesterday.

Mother's micro-polishing compound (stage 2) really does wonders in removing black scuffs, light scratches and tree sap from the paint, and cleans it overall, especially on white paint.

Clay bar makes the surface buttery smooth!

Of course it had to start raining literally 2 mins after I finished waxing

Headlight restoration, spot polished scratches, full wax, slight interior detail. Waiting for my lip to come in then the car goes in for paint (hood, front bumper, and lip to be resprayed).

A whole lot of stuff has been done lately, I got a little extra money and splurged a little on some fancy stuff as well as critical stuff. All new front brakes, calipers, rotors and pads. The calipers were sticking and because of this, the brakes got very hot, so hot in fact the calipers were black rather then the matte silver gray color they normally are.

Also done were the valve cover gaskets, transmission service (adjusted the kickdown cable and changed the tranny fluid), new power steering belt, PCV valve and a new windshield to round out the critical service.

Fancy stuff: LED upgrade for the interior lighting, looks great. I went with warm white for the color. Also replaced the bulbs for the climate control LCD and the buttons using these bulbs here: JKL T-1/34 8v 85mA. The bulbs for the buttons went in fine, the bulbs are a little bigger than the originals, so you need to get longer color boots for them to cover the whole bulb. The LCD bulbs required a little modding to make the lighting even, they won't fit in the socket so you have to remove the socket to get the bulbs down far enough to keep them from spotting. The original boots work fine for this application. The brightness is almost identical to the original bulbs, maybe slightly dimmer, but barely noticeable.

OMG I just did the same service to my Solara with the 1MZ-FE this past weekend!

Please share how you removed and tapped in the rear camshaft seal with the tight clearance between the engine and fender.

Get some StrongArm hood struts. They're cheap and will bring up the value of your car.
