Default 1999 Lexus ES300 Projector Retrofit - Completed

Got bored one day and ended up doing a drop-in projector retrofit for a friend.... Took about 2 hours to do, cost less than $300 and 100% reversible.

edit: Oh, forgot to give credit to her for polishing the headlights and doing part of the retro... I think her CL SN is Lucerne...

Parts via Retrofitsource.com
Mini H1 Projectors
Mini Gatling Gun Shrouds
Morimoto 6k H1 Bulbs
DDM 35w Ballasts (Do not recommend using)

Also, did the independent fog mod w/ home-made harness for the relay and sanded/polished the aged lenses.

Anyway, pics!

What we started with...

Shroud could sit closer, but it'd require breaking the clips...

Don't mind the messy table; not my garage.

Sorry, no output shots at the moment....

That does look OEM. You should consider making a DIY thread for this - I would love to learn how to do it.

this looks good. I have s2k, tsx, and RX330 projectors at the shop... Hmmm...

how did you wire up the fog light mod? I'd like to see the custom wiring.

I may have a few pictures laying around on a harddrive somewhere.. I'll look into it after my current car project..

I have pictures somewhere on my harddrive... But I think I found the fog light mod somewhere on this forum. :P If I can find the pics, I'll post up an easier DIY guide...

Looks great!

Please post some DIY instructions for us with no clue on how to do anything like this. I would love to install these on my car too.

Thanks

I did each headlight in 30-40 minutes. It is a best retrofit on a lexus es300, but i am working on my foglights to retrofit them with projectors to match the look! Pics will be up soon!

Wow, incredibly clean install. Looks OEM as mentioned already.

Soo I hear you're pretty close by. Mind if I drop by the next time you do one of these retrofits so I can learn from the masters?
