Well it's up to you. Which design do you like better?
I personally prefer the interior and exterior on the 2006. They got a little too creative in my opinion on the ES350 interiors. And the exterior is a bit more grandmaish and bland if you will.
There are no trans problems...sighs. Just disconnect the battery for a few seconds to reset it's shifting memory when you test drive one.
Both are Lexus' and you would love them both. I would test drive them.

The transmission problem is really an electronic throttle problem - transmission control problem.
We have both the 05's and the 06's and they both suffer from it -- drive one first and see what you think - some people have little problem with it.
The 330's are bigger an they float more than the 300's and the 350's get even bigger.
The 300's are a great size. None of the ES's handle very well but the newer ones are dogs -- we have them and they make great company cars.

Ive driven them both, just not back to back. I think im like a kitten. I like my car quiet and cute. not a dog like that 350.thats a lot of power. the ride on the 330 is smooth but i think the smoothest was my 3oo.But thanx, Ill drive them again and see what i think.

I love my 2003 ES300 (same generation) and i perfer it to the ES350 for the mere reason that the 1mz 3.0 V6 and 3mz 3.3 V6 engines are virtually bulletproof with regular maintenance but the 2gr 3.5 in the ES350 had alot of issues in the 07-08 model years.
I'm a toyota tech and i see these engines every day and trust me the 330 will hold up better...plus its much better looking
4ES love.

I have a 98 and an 06..The 06 is nice inside but the tranny sucks compared to the 98. It also gets way less mpg then my 98...Paint chips more then my 98...I like the heated and AC seats and some other things, bu the 98 is way better all around.
Both have Amsoil all over and the biggest help was Amsoil ATF in the (lifetime ATF) in the 06...Junk OEM fluid..
Good luck
