Replace factory sub on 1998 Lexus ES300
Hello,
I am planning on replacing the factory deck on my 1998 Lexus ES 300 with: Pioneer DEH-6300UB deck and will be hooking all 4 factory speakers to the factory amp.
On the sub, I'll be replacing the factory sub with: "Infinity Reference 8-Inch 1000-watt High-Performance Subwoofer" and will be mounted to the same location where the factory sub is. I'll use a separate amp to run the Infinity Reference 8-Inch 1000-watt High-Performance Subwoofer.
Do you guys think that will work well?
Note: I also have an additional MTX sub in an enclosure that i can use, but I the sub to take up my trunk space.
Anyway, mounting the sub to its original location and/or use the MTX sub?
Thanks

sounds great, the only issue you are going to have if you remove the original woofer from the back deck will be, that you will not be able to snap back on your 3rd brake light casing.
Unless you dont mind not having a 3rd brake light, because if you just put it back on the deck with out snapping to its original base it will rattle like crazy with your 1000000000W woofer lol

Yeah I feel like that is not a good place for a nice subwoofer. You'd probably just want to use the one in the case, the mtx one. You will get a lot of raddle from the third brake light and the surrounding plastic.
