Thank you! I love telling the story of how i ended up with Caroline.
I like clean cars what can i say? haha. The camry was a 4 cyl which is why i wanted out of it. I needed more power.
I actually hate white cars...i only like the pearl white...specifically LEXUS pearl white.....regular white is too flat and turns Maalox oxidized white in a hurry.

What kind of body work did you do? The original pictures don't seem to show anything.

My wife owned a 2011 Camaro, but was tired of the car payments, so she put it up for sale. When she took it in for the 15,000 mile service, she came home with a 1995 ES300. No more car payments. So far all we have spent on it is $10 for the Key batteries. Took it on the road and it got 30 MPG. Some chips in the paint and bumpers, but no dents. Ran a CarFax and it is a one owner vehicle. 155,000 miles on it. Love it so far...

It was five step process.

1. Owned Toyota Corolla. Got totalled in an accident.
2. Wanted to by the safest car possible I could afford. Decided on Volvo.
3. Was about to leave to pick up new Volvo after shopping on the internet and fixing the price.
4. Colleague/close friend suggested I take a look at Lexus.
5. Went yo Lexus dealership with a friend, drove home new ES330..

Now if you can help me with this issue, I would really appreciate -

June 2012 and my wife's girlfriend says her mother wanted to sell her 2002 ES300. We were not in the market for this, having two very well maintained Camrys- a 1996 LEV6 and a 2004 LE4cyl. But the girlfriend brought it by our place anyway. Well it was love at first sight! The car was silver, black interior, all very, very nice condition and only 30K! It had always been garaged. We sold the 1999 Camry in only several days- which shows why it pays to keep a car garaged and detailed!
The ES was well-maintained at Magnussen's Lexus in Fremont, CA, and I had all the records. I gave it a cleaning and wax job, detailed the engine compartment (it was really clean to start with) and the interior and changed the fluids and filters. I also put new Michelin Primacy MXV4 (H-rated) tires on it. I've put about 1500 miles on the car, including taking a trip to Lake Tahoe and another to the Napa Valley. The car is solid, the transmission seems to be well-behaved- the car is a joy to drive, as long as I don't have sports car aspirations!
The rational for getting this car was initially to give my wife the Lexus she'd always wanted. But she says she recognizes a true love affair, and so now she drives the 2004 Camry and lets me have the Lexus. That's a good wife!

Soo i got my lexus last december, its 2000 ES300 black. So last winter, i was gonna get myself a car, already found a bunch, checked few out, and last one on my list was located upstate, since i didnt have a ride, asked my friend to drive me there, on my way there, as we spoke, discovered he was going to put lexus on sale in a month of so cuz he found TL-S 2007 and felt in love with it. Just out of curiosity i tried his lexus, felt pretty damn good, way better than any other car i drove, so we didnt get to upstate, i loved that ES. Car has 144448 miles as for today, bought it with 134k, for $4k, Its pretty good, very very smooth ride, Im a 3rd owner, before me and my friend, the original owner was a chinese priest, he didnt kill the car, engine and everything was pretty good, my friend had that lexus for only 2 months. Recently ive replaced rear shocks, front axels, all breaks and that its. car has few scratches on the bumpers cuz of parking, but hey its brooklyn... lots of retards are out there who cant drive nor park good unfortunately.. thats about it..hate writing lol. but i like this lexus, gonna stay in Lexus family, gonna swap cars by new year or next summer tho, still thinking whether to get ES350 the new one or GS 450, but my ES300 will stay in the family for sure!

Needed to replace wife's Pontiac Grand Am, found a '97 Camry on Craigslist. Low mileage, decent price. Drove it and liked the power and the ride, owned previous Toyota's so I knew the reliability. Guy totally flaked out on me so I was in the market again. Saw a low-mileage '97 ES on Craigslist and just from the pictures wanted it. Went and looked at it, drove it and knew it was mine. Lexus for life now.

Default Happy new 98 ES300 owner!!

Just bought my first Lexus. 98 ES300 with 126125 miles, found it on Craigslist and owner was asking $2995. Bought it for $2200, needs four tires and y-pipe. Drove it home 80 miles and couldn't be happier. Have had many different luxury cars in the past including Audi, BMW, and Mercedes. I have to rank this one up there with the best of them all, love it so far and think I got a heck of a deal. Thanks to Jay for upgrading to a 2005 ES300 that made this one available for sale! Love the forum, great info!

whats good, new to the forum. my story is kinda funny cause i swore up and down that i would never get one of these cars. wasnt a big fan, most of the ES i seen people driving were all beat to **** lol. well after i sold my precious 91 mustang (i still want to cry when i think of it) about 2 months ago, i came across one of the cleanest ES300 i have ever seen in my life. one owner, only 100k on it, great color, mint interior and all that. i hesitated at first, but when i drove that thing i instantly fell in love. the luxury of this car, it is just to much to explain lol the extra space, leather everything, its great. i mean it doesnt have nothing on my old 5.0 but i enjoy it. that, and the women really like it, which is always a plus. looking forward to upgrading the music (im known for having crazy systems) throwing some nicer rims on it, led lights, h.i.d head and fog lights and maybe a small drop just so it clear the gap between the wheels and fenders. this aint no race car, more for low speed cruising with the volume turned up, just nice and luxurious.

I picked it up for $2000 and yeah. The car was always serviced at my grandfathers shop, so I knew what I was getting was gonna be smooth. And 100k, that's baby miles compared to some of the cars I seen lol.

Talking 1997 es300

I was the proud owner of a 1995 Toyota 4Runner and a 1996 Dodge Ram for many years. In/around May of 2007 the Ram was due for a lot of services and I'd been procrastinating getting things repaired. Hubby and I were on our way home from the grocery store when I saw what looked like a Toyota Camery on the side of the road with a For Sale sign on it. I told my him to pull over so I could look. Turned out it was a pretty little LEXUS ES300. The asking price was $6,500 and the mileage was around 95K. I called the number and met the guy later that day to test drive it. I was in love!!! Scrounged up the cash and bought the car the next day. Shortly after, I was able to off the Ram for the same price I paid for the LEXUS!!!! Yay. I have owned it now for just over 5 years and it has 200,000 miles on it. Had some minor and some major work here and there but I love my car!

I was thinking of getting my first car last year fall. Just having finished school and not yet having a job, I budgeted $5000 and wanted something reliable and economical.
After seeing what junk $5000 got me, I upgraded my budget and picked up a 2003 Camry for $7000. Did some mods... and well.... kinda got bored of it. And its 4 cylinder engine was sluggish and noisy.

So I sat in a 2005 Acura TL and ES330 and wondered what an upgrade would feel like. I dreamed.

When I found a used Pearl White 2005 Lexus ES with a tan leather interior (exactly the color combo I liked) on AutoTrader, I jumped on it, not thinking back about the amount of money I'd lose on the Camry. I didn't even look at other ES's on the market for comparison. Oh well, sold the Camry off in 3 days and haven't regretted since.

And for those who say the Camry and ES are the same- they are totally different- the interior is much nicer and the ride much smoother on the ES.
