Question '97 ES - Clock and Power Mirrors not working?

Hi all,

So I tried searching the forums here first for the solution but didn't find anything relevant.

My 1997 ES 300's Clock and Power Mirrors have suddenly stopped working.

Never had this problem before. Are they related? Could it be a fuse problem?

It seems to have been random.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Adam.

It sounds like the fuse for the Cigarette lighter has blown. I had this problem. If you replace that fuse located in the fuse box and the clock works but not the mirrors, check the fuse in the engine compartment. It is the one marked ECM.

Thank you, David! I think that's what it is! I do remember trying to stick a powered air pump into my cigarette adapter around the time the clock went out.

How do I identify which one is the cigarette lighter fuse, btw?

It is located in the fuse box located in the car. I don't remember it's location but the door has the listing.

If you havent figured this out, its the fuse panel behind the door on the left of the dash in the car. Mine had the clock, mirrors and power outlets (cigarette lighter) not working. The cigarette fuse was blown and it fixed everything. the diagram wasnt on the door thing on my car, but it was in the manual. also, the fuses are behind the fold out door/pocket thing.. just gently pull on it and it pops out. Hello PADavid and RxG300,

Thank you. That fixed the problem! I had to do some digging up to find my Lexus owner's manual.

Thanks so much to both of you for your help!

Default On a 98

Just had this happen on my 98 es300. It was totally a fuse. So happy that it wasn't something more than that. The panel for me was located behind the ashtray on the drivers side. I believe it was fuse #39 or 40. 10amp
