thermostat location

Hi guys,
can anyone help me and locate where the thermostat is located on a 1992 es300. I need to replace mine and I thought it was under the top hose inlet but upon removal I was wrong.

I THINK (big THINK here) it is on one of the air ducts. sort of near the Evaporator (box with fin looking things). that is all i can say. sorry.

I have a feeling it might be in between the fog lights on the front lip somehwhere. I was looking around there a few months ago and remember seeing something that looked like a little sensor that could be the temp sensor - I am not sure though.
