Is this you purposefully avoiding the first two questions to build up all of our anticipation? I've never been big on gold rims but I'm sure you could pull it off.

I gotta try that trick with the paint thinner. I wanted to remove the excess wheel weight adhesive, but it was really hard to do.

Wheels look clean, going to make your ES pop, did you end up selling your parts car? What is difference from 94 1MZ-FE motor to an 96?

Are those wheels 5x100 or 114.3?

^ 2005 onwards they switched to the 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

Years prior were 5x100. We had a member on here [way back] buy a set and decide against running them since he didn't want to machine them to fit the hub bore.

just a quick pic today. i will try to get my DSLR out tomorrow for better pictures
i think they look pretty sweet.
the key is to use 25mm spacer and machine the subaru center rings of the spacers from 56.1mm to 60.1 mm so it can sit on our hub. very easy

hmmmmmmmm........ I'll be honest, I'm not too sure if I like them, the wheels do look cool, and White/Gold does look good... but to me it looks a little busy

But enough about my opinion as it's just that, they still look good with the white and gold combo

I take back what I said, I like it a lot. Think it might be because I didn't realize they were such a "bronzy" gold color. Most cars I see with gold rims are REALLY gold, like wedding band gold.
Just out of curiosity why did you decide to ditch the old ones?

the gold on those BBS are only very gold looking under bright sun, otherwise they are pretty bronzy just like you said. =]

I meant the most recent set, but now that you mention it, why keep changing? Just for the change? I suppose it's like finding a new pair of shoes for your girl, and I know my ES is my girl

well, the truth is...i actually made money selling those wheels i had before.
the SSRs, i sold for more than i paid for, so were the enkeis, i only had to toss in some used tires.
and honestly, I got a little tired of 18s cuz of the expensive tires and stiffer ride.
17s is just fine and acceleration is a little better too.

here's a pic i took today with my Canon 6D with a 24-105mm F4 =]
