Default Does the Lexus Premuim Sound System come standard in all ES models?

I own a 1998 Lexus ES300 that has the Lexus Premium Sound system in it, I was curious to know if all Third Generation (1996-1999) models had that sound system standard in it? My cousin's 1996 ES also has one as well as my neighbors 1999 ES.

Yes. It's a system that uses pioneer components.

The different one, in this case the "true premium" one would be the nakamichi system. The headunit says 'Nakamichi' right where it says premium sound system and is different.

On my dash one reads LEXUS PREMIUM SOUND, but for my taste the sound quality is far from being PREMIUM...

it doesnt matter what was premium or not, at that time, all is way below premium to the current standards of technology.

although my speakers were decent until i blew a speaker and tweeter. now, check the sig.

Yeah it's standard. They put that label on the system to make it seem more premium I guess because it's a lexus lol. The true premium would be the Mark Levinson system, which still I don't consider "Premium." I don't know if there is a lower package on the older models, but I do know they have the Pioneer system option.

A Bang & Olufsen sound system is definitely PREMIUM. The new Audi A7 can have it for $9,000...

Yes, it's an astonishing price for a sound system, but when it comes to luxury... Take a look here:
http://www.bang-olufsen.com/advanced...portback-press

I particulary love this one: The system constantly monitors variations in noise created by the outside environment, the speed of the car and the climate control system, and adjusts individual frequencies to deliver a consistent sound experience for the occupants. The system also compensates for different audio sources and has been optimised for telephone conversations.

You cannot build a system that sounds better for less than 9k - guaranteed.
