hi guys , my sterring wheel shaking ( w/o making noise) around 100-120 km/h. what do you think is causing that ? i cheked my rims and everythings ok ... i don't want to have a accident if something in the direction broke.

is it comon trouble for a 98 es 300 ( 160 k kilo) ?

Check: alignment, wheel balancing.

steering wheel vibrating is usually your wheels not being properly balanced or off balanced. bring it to a tire shop and have them rebalance them.

^Wheel balancing is where I'd start but it could be something like a seized brake caliper, warped rotors, out-of-round tires (if the car sat without moving for a long period of time).

My vote is wheel(s) out of balance. Especially if you have weights that are stuck on the inside of the rim, as opposed to the ones that crimp on the outside. Either way, look closely for spot that is 'cleaner' than the surrounding part, where a weight has fallen off.
I knocked one off the inside while changing to summer rims just last week. Luckily I noticed and cemented the 2 weights back on. I'd be into the wheel shop next fall otherwise, paying for an expensive re-balance all round, since they'd have no way of telling which one(s) were off.
BTW, if your steering wheel is shaking, it's likely one or both of the fronts. If it was the rear, it often shows up as a vibration in the brake pedal.

The left front brake piston was seized. Therefore, it would not release. As a result, the heat generated warped the brake rotor. Thats why you felt the vibration.

Brake piston can seize on several factors:
- contaminated brake fluid
- broken / leaking piston seal

To avoid brake piston failure, one should bleed the brake fluid once every few years.

sounds like the shop didnt properly bleed ur brakes correctly. i would bring it back immediately since that is very dangerous.
