Trouble code P1133 indicates that the Bank 1 Sensor 1 Air/Fuel ratio sensor does not function correctly. This code will set if the heater in the sensor does not operate. The sensor is a very common failure.

Otherwise, dont know why your having a CEL for the O2 sensor if you got the proper one replaced. Keep us posted and maybe you might have to take it into a Lexus dealer or find a Lexus mechanic who can diagnosis the issue right away. Good Luck.
thanks man, i just hope it won't be too late and too expensive until i find the exact cause of P1133 (with a new sensor in place). i am not sure, but with the right car specifications, Denso provides proper air/fuel ratio (o2 sensors) sensors. Another mechanic wants to replace the 1,3 and 5 fuel injectors.

So just making sure..U replaced bank 1 sensor 1( behind the engine against the firewall) ? How many wires were on the sensor? It should be four if it's a heated o2 sensor.I also had the p0171 and replacing all the o2 sensor removed the system too lean code.

any time you have an entire bank msifiring as in timing go to the OCV... and OCV filters... more than likely the too lean is from the misfires... or in our es300's Lexus calls them Cam Timing Valves part number 15340-0A010 and 15330-0A010...

Variable valve timing was introduced in 1998 for the 1999 model year. I think the op's car has no VVT therefore no OCV.

P1133 indicates slow response sensor. P1135 indicates a defective heater element.

Are you sure that the new O2 sensor is the Denso 234-4622 ?

I know this is an old post, but did you ever figure out what the problem was ayroman? I'm having the same slight misfire on all bank 1 cylinders, but just barely enough to feel it as well.

Found the problem. The air inlet tube made of rubber cracked a couple inches before the throttle body. Everyone should check for this when getting this code. I feel it will be common problem in higher mileage es300's.
