^^ I think its in only 2000 and 2001 Es300. I have it too. Its a neat feature. Dunno about 2002-onwards models. I dont think so they have it in those models

I have this in my 2005 ES. Saw it for the first time last night and wondered what it was, the saw this post today. Just confirmed it does the beep volume.

(Was reading ABS code. Apparently the previous owner's mechanic doesn't find proper torquing of the axle nut important. It was finger-loose and the WSS couldn't see the external teeth on the driveshaft because the shaft slipped toward the center of the car so much!)

I was about to say it's in my '99. To the right of this you'll find the VCS button as well

Yes this is to adjust the sound the car makes when you lock and unlock it, no the actual alarm.

Your 96 is a 2nd Gen ES, most of the people posting here (me too!) have a 3rd Gen ES (97-01) that have the **** there.

Thats a cool little feature never noticed it until now. You learn something everyday..... sucks kinda though as I have an aftermarket starter and alarm with an aftermarket siren for my "beeps".

I got a starter but using stock alarm and now the car uses the horn when I lock and unlock. I hate the horn sound, it just makes it sound like domestic cars and miss the toyota/lexus beep beep sound.
