I just got my car about a month ago, and it arrived with a brand new set of after-market carpeted floor mats in it. I appreciate the dealer doing this, but they are not Lexus quality, and the holes for the floor hooks are way off (the floor hooks are missing as well).

Meanwhile, the crappy winter weather is approaching, so for the time being I'd like to get some all-weather mats. I did a search, also looked backwards quite a few pages, couldn't see any recent talk about them. Am I correct that Lexus is no longer selling their own logo'd rubber mats for my '05? I looked at one back in September that had them installed, so I know they existed at one time. But now the dealer tells me they are on permanent back-order. Can anyone confirm this?

If so, is Weathertech my best choice? How is the fit? The website leaves me to believe they are a "universal fit" application that I'll need to trim to match.

I've had Husky Liners in a previous vehicle, I'd rather not go that way.

I bought a four piece set in tan to match my interior. The are deep rubber to catch the melting snow from your feet without running on to the carpet. I have these for all of my cars for the winters in Idaho. They are $20/set of four (two front, two rear). Hope this helps!

i almost got those but i opted for the walmart set with half rubber half carpet ...... no need for all rubber here in Scottsdale AZ

I'm pretty sure they are still produced. I would recommend trying a Canadian dealership, they may not have been subjected to the bad publicity of Lexus/Toyota floor mats. I was going to purchase a set of OEM Lexus winter mats for my '01 when I determined that they never made mats for the 3ES and the ones I was about to purchase were for a 4ES, this was via a Canadian dealership. Try PM'ing PFB, he was kind enough to help me and may be able to give you some advice.

No offense guys, and I don't mean to sound like a snob, but I'm not putting cheap-o floor mats in my nice car. I went the cheap route in my daughter's Corolla when I bought it during the big floor mat debacle, and they looked like crap.

I don't have them myself, but I know a couple people with Weathertech mats. They say they're amazing and they fit perfectly, though they are a bit spendy.
