Default renewing my baby thread

this car was a previously owned, one owner car with 174k highway miles on it when i bought it back in 99. all maintenance was performed at the lexus dealership that it was purchased from and documented from new until it was traded back into the original dealership where i then purchased. having a company vehicle for a while, and a couple other personal vehicles, i havent put a whole lot more miles on her with her at only 228k now, 11 yrs later.
this car has been my baby for many years, only had a set of tires, an alignment and changed the oil for the first 8 years. over the last few years, i have changed the ecm, front control arms, ball joints, tie rods, bushings, alternator, ps pump and hoses and y pipe(long story just know that you can jump a concrete median at a high rate of speed when necessary).
anyway, im into cars and customs and im renewing my lex. here are some phone pics of the seats i just redid, more, better pics soon.

i want to thank TAMR_GUS98, if he's still around, for the idea of the seats in this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/2495186-post94.html

next up is back seats, console lid, doors, dash, carpet and headliner. paint next year

The passenger side rug wall by the shifter looks like a bloodbath wtf man. Very nice seats, the leather on my '95 es is cracking and torn, i wish i could change the seats but i don't want to spend $300+ to change the seat leather.

How much did those covers cost you?

Seat skins look great.

But holy hell, whats up with the rest of the interior?!

Door panels are half brown & tan as if they are super greasy and the carpet...

Black interiors FTMFW!

immax01, thats where the soda exploded near the shifter... i have about $200 in vinyl and padding so far but these are custom made by me, not cheap ebay crap.

01LEXPL, thanks!
after the soda exploded, i basically quit caring for the interior and have been using this as my daily driver/shop vehicle while welding/customizing. my helper would jump in without washing up every day and it just got worse, fast.

i'd roll a black on black but i like the reese peanut butter and chocolate against the red.

well, no more Lex abuse, im renewing my baby and looking for a shop truck to wear out.

thanks for stoppin in, check back for progress pics soon!

re-wrapping the doors with matching vinyl, new carpet for sure and maybe standard or ultrasuede headliner but new either way.

brighter at the led end, a lil dimmer towards the tip but still lit enough to see in daylight mode. its not factory looking but 100% better than flickering or burnt out like i had before and a great improvement over DIY.

i tried the DIY needle repair first, even filed an led to fit perfect in the needle. it was bright at the led but almost dark at the tip though. for the time invested in my DIY and the results i got, i wish i woulda went with Lextech sooner, even knowing the way he did it now.
