Cool My LED & HID Conversion (Pics)

I have a 2002 Lexus ES300. I was finally able to install 05-06 ES330 Headlights onto it along with my 6000k HID Kit. I also converted all interior lights into 6k LED's. I just took a few snapshots w/o the flash on. I am going to be taking more tomorrow, but here are a few. (All LED's were purchased from V-Leds and the HID's from hidextra. I have converted my rear Turn Signals to LED's as well with resistors, but I want to make a video for that tomorrow too.

Thanks for looking!

Looks good. Is that a tan interior? I never really liked the ambiance (or lack thereof) of LED's on a Tan interior, I always thought they were better suited for a grey/black interior and incandescent looked better on tan. However yours looks pretty good, are they cool white or natural white LED's? And snap a pic or two of the headlights head on if possible.

Yes, the interior is tan. All of the LED's are "Cool White" which are considered 6000k on some sites. The Warm White standard bulbs do look luxurious on tan, but aren't bright enough for me. I will take some pics or a video right now and post it on here of everything.

It depends on how much you want to spend. at v-leds.com You can get a pair of door LED's for about 10 dollars. So all 4 doors is 20 dollars, plus the license plate is another 10. The universal dome light though is about 20 dollars itself.

For the entire interior you are looking at about 50-60 bucks.

I recommend v-leds.com or oznium.com

eBay also has cheap alternatives, but don't expect the same brightness/quality.

Not necessarily. My interior came out flawless, over a year with all original bulbs, i paid 'more' per say, but i did 100% of my bulbs, and customized a few things and have a ton of spare bulbs kicking around now.

But your probably right with V-leds, for you American guys... Shipping was not worth it for me, so i went with Warden_jp2002. Then again his stuff is 100x better than what v-leds sells, as stated on this forum alone in each subsection of model... lol

Mega did you have stock reflective HID"s before your put in the projectors? I'm curious as to your opinion of cutoff/beam pattern between reflective and projector HID's in the 4ES.

Those look to be Halogen 05-06 projectors with an HID kit installed.

No, I had the stock halogen reflector bowl style headlights. But I have seen the Reflector style OEM HID's in person. The color is very similar but the not a nice cutoff and it doesn't project quite as far. But if I had the Reflector style HID's, I would not waste the money on the projector model.

And they are 05-06 HID Projectors. The difference between the Halogen ones and the HID ones is the auto leveling system being installed or not. Although it is not usable on my car, these lights came with it. I personally own a projector halogen headlight as well and they socket is much different, and doesn't work well.

^ not something i would do, as i think they are played out.

however i do commend the effort that you obviously put in and it does look like it 'fits' the car.

So... props!

Default ********update**********

Today I installed my new taillights to my 2002 ES which were originally from a 2005 Lexus ES330 model. The install was very easy. The only issue I had was that the sockets to the old bulbs don't fit into the newer lights, so if you are ordering make sure they give you the harness. I certainly think it looks better as you guys voted on here almost a year ago. I also installed a chrome trim piece just about the license plate. The 2005 model has a small trim piece and I think I needed to balance out the other chrome, and it turned out well.

All I have left is HID Fogs, my clear corners are with UPS somewhere lol.

Here are a few quick iPhone Pics, I have a video, but it isn't uploaded yet. If you have any questions about the install feel free to AIM or email me anytime.
