idiot light for rear lights on...

I have a 2000 ES300 Platinum. When I switch on the parking lights (or driving lights) the idiot light on the dash comes on signaling me that I have a rear light out. The idiot light does not come on when I apply the brakes with the parking lights turned off. I don't see that I have a light out when I check it......What do you guys think?

If you use different bulbs then this will trigger the indicator. What I mean is your parking bulbs and brake bulbs must be the same brand and model.

Yep.

One more thing to add, is take out each one, and clean the connector using a fine steel wool or something along those lines. This fixed it for me, and i have three different brands of bulbs & LED reverse lights - lol
