started w/ jumping dead battery due to headlights being left on. key was in accessory position. had some small sparking when connecting, but it didn't seem like much but it was enough to blow the 100 amp fusible link and a couple other fuses. i replaced all those, and checked every fuse in the car. now engine will crank but not run. all lights, windows, radio and door locks work.

anything else i'm missing?

I would check the grounding wires then the main relay.

Do you hear the fuel pump turn on when you turn the key to the "on" position?

i swapped the efi relay with the other just like it and nothing .... i cant hear the fuel pump.

i guess that leaves the main ecu and/or fuel pump ecu?

try the ignition rotor arm and ign control module...had a similar problem with an acura of mine

You're supposed to be able to hear the fuel pump when you turn the key to on? I thought I read a post that said it remained off until you started cranking.

That would explain why it takes me 6-7 cranks to start...

alot of times the fuel pump will come on for 5-10 secs when you first turn ignition switch to "on", then it shuts off until its running. does anyone know if there is a jumper in diagnostic terminal to keep fuel pump on? i have a 1990 toyota pickup that i can do that to....

I know you can on the 3vzfe, I was just about to try it. FP and +B terminals on the diagnostic port according to the FSM.
