Default How much steering vibration do you feel at highway speeds?

After getting 4 new Michelin tires, my '06 ES330 has steering vibration at highway speeds. I already had the shop rebalance.

Regarding the vibration, I'm not 100% sure if I'm being too sensitive (because I spent over $900) or if it is a real problem. Compared with my '03 Odyssey, the 330 has less steering vibration for sure.

How much steering vibration do you feel at highway speeds (> 65mph)?

There shouldn't be any. One of the tires might be out of round, ask them to try a different set, or try to road force balance them. For that kind of money those michelins should ride smooth as silk.

I agree with frohboy33: there should be no vibration.

Vibration due to an imbalanced tire/wheel typically will be worse at particular speeds when the rotational frequency of the tire/wheel synergizes with the imbalance to increase the "bouncing" of the tire/wheel. In my experience the right frequency tends to occur somewhere around 57-63 MPH and again around 78-82 MPH, causing the vibration from an imbalance to become more noticeable. (Don't know what this phenomenon is called... ...maybe something like "rotational harmonics"... ???)

So if you notice increased vibration somewhere around those speeds, that would tend to confirm a balance problem. If not, the vibration might be due to something else.
