Discounttires.com
hey guys, has anyone ever used www.discounttires.com for buying wheels or tires? I know the popular sites are tirerack and discounttire (not discounttires-- these 2 are different), but discounttires has much cheaper prices than most other places i could find. only thing is the website looks kinda shady and there aren't too many reviews online of it. would appreciate it if someone could let me know the deal with this place. thanks!

I've never dealt with them BUT i jsut bought tires last week from www.discounttirezone.com and got my tires in 2 days (less than 48hrs!) and saved $$. Check them out. A good hint is to email or call the customer service and see if and how long it takes them to get back to you. Good Luck!

thanks-- the main reason i'm asking is because i'm interested in a set of wheels that they have that are marked much lower than other places (Motegi Racing Touge MR2178 Glossy Black 17 inch). can't find those at tirerack and other sites that offer wheel/tire packages.
does anybody know if they offer packages and mounting/balancing as well?

I'm sure you've already figured things out, but Discount Tire has a retail location in my town. They are the only ones I've ever used for tires/wheels, and are always friendly and reasonably priced.
Side note...my parents own Hondas and the last set of tires they bought for their 2005 CRV were about 25% cheaper...AT THE DEALER!! Go figure.

I have ordered my tires (bridgestone alenza) through discounttires.com. The tires were delivered. Will do business with them again.

I have used discount tire direct. They were so easy to work with. Tires and wheels came via ups.. Blanced and filled with air. The guys on the phone were amazing.. This was in 2005 when I bought wheels and tires for my 95 avalon. Got the Rage Breaker wheels (discontinued) and Hankook ventus tires. 215/50/17.. I recommend them.. And.. free shipping.. hope that helped.
