Question Cup Holder/Ash Tray & Lighter Issue

I forgot exactly what year was it that Lexus decided to take care of their little designing error on the whole cup holder/lighter & ash tray compartment, but I have a 92 ES300 and I was wondering if anyone figured something out so that they can have a cupholder, and have something plugged into the lighter at the same time.

Trying to stay away from adding a Wal-Mart cupholder...looking towards something like a modified center console. I'm just dreamin, huh? hehe..

You could either relocate your current 12v outlet or add another one -- just find a new place to mount it, and you shouldn't have too hard of a time doing the job.

i did it the ultra skilled way, in which only the ultra mechanically inclined should attempt....moved the cup holder.
p.s.-keeps drinks cold

Talking ultra skilled way...

damn..that'd be so cool and simple but that's where I keep my cellphone. I guess it would be cooler to have cold drinks instead of a cold cell phone though...hehe. cuz right now that vent has been shut for about a year

Lightbulb cool phone holder!

Wow, I have a Nokia 3390 too! What kind of phone holder is that? Got a name brand or something on it?

That'd be awesome, then I can use the cooled spot by the vent for my cup...(and I wont have to worry about all that condensation that drips down from my drink all over the center counsol.

how cool! ...lemme know where I can find that

theres so many places you could find stuff like this....in l.a. that is... by broward i will assume florida or somewhere. no brand name, but these things are usually all from japan. oh wait my drinkholder as you can see is RAZO, which is a semi-brand...same people that make the cool shift **** i was talking about. my drink holder came in a pack of two, and was $17, which is on the expensive side for these things. my phone holder was around $7 but there are a kabillion different types/designs of these things. there are some drawbacks to having your phone there though. if you keep your phone there while calling someone(or if someone is calling you), and you have your radio/cd on, you will get a weird buzzing noise in your radio because the GSM frequency interferes with the radio. also, i bump my music so loud sometimes i don't even hear the phone ring.

my phone does the same thing. but i just set my volume on my phone loud so i hear it ring. I really don't like adding all of those little things like the add on cupholder, and the add on cell holder. it just doesn't look very "LEXUS"
