No it won't damage anything.

Who cares? Yeah the pedal will get a little heavier with a better grade of fuel but there goes any fuel economy... which is the stem of the argument in the first place. IMO kinda pointless in a car like this, its a daily driver that is smooth and gets great mileage

no it will not. the 00-01 ES had the remote/transponder built into the key. I had this same problem on my ES as the original owner lost the master key and only had the valet key. You need to buy yourself a new master key (remote/transponder all in one) and have it programmed.

The hardest part about this is finding someone to program it. You cannot program the master key without resetting the computer in the system. The person programming it has to clear out the computer and program the new master key in. You will also need to reprogram your valet key in the process. This whole process cost me $300 to reprogram and 150 for the new master/remote key. Hope this makes sense.

don't even bother with the dealership. they won't do it without the original master key. I tried lol. they told me they had to rip out the ecu and ignition and all that to get it replaced. and this was 3 different dealerships I went to. gotta go to a third party.

its not an ownership thing - lexus just will not program a new master key if you don't have the original. they want to just pull out the entire igntion system and replace it. either way, the dealership will charge you much more than a third party will. All they have to do is reflash the computer so you can program a new master key. The dealership will not do this, well at least in Houston they wouldn't. You could give it a try but I'm willing to be they want top dollar for it.

Mesh rims FTW:

Hp Racing Evos

**I had these, and REGRET selling them... Very stupid on my part. in 18" they looked great!

Or go with something like this, in case you don't like wheels with lip: [Concave]

Tenzo Type M [I like these too]

* a friend at work has the genuine Enkei version of this wheel on his Prelude and they look great!

Both of these wheels aren't the 'real deal'... Then again in the wheel world these styles get regurgitated by different companies, and with that, these two brands are gonna be inexpensive when compared to others, or if bought used pretty cheap!

i agree with 01LEXPL ^^^

HP are great, I was thinking of HP but when I was buying there weren't anyone selling used, and couldn't pass on the price I got mines

or some VIP wheels, but that can get a little pricey
ex: work euro line, Auto Couture (they are pricey)
