Exclamation Unknown Electrical Switches under steering wheel

i have these 2 switches under my console, by the petals. they are labeled on, off on each 1. was this a mod someone did previously? or is this stock? if so, what are they used for? 1996 es

They are used for lights toggle switch

which lights? front door and back door? both should be on?

They are probably toggle switches for either aftermarket foglights, led or neons, amps, screens, allowing a headunit to watch video while in drive, pretty much a whole bunch of applications might apply?

well i have a flip out HU and made a parking ground bypass. pluss, i dont think they had those in 96 lol

did you turn them off and on? to see any difference? it is most likely not oem like that. it can be switches to anything, maybe its a secret switch to something awesome ahaha JK

Have you followed the wires to see where they lead? Could be an ejector seat.

Turn your car on and flip each switch independently. You may want to have someone with you to see if there's a difference outside your car if you don't notice a difference inside.

Definitely not stock. I would follow the other posters recommendations and see what treasures you may find!
