Question on wheels and ride comfort
Hello Club Lexus
I just bought a 2002 ES300 and absolutely love it
My question is that I was thinking about putting the ES350 17" wheels on my car. How much of the ride comfort will I lose going from 215/60/16 to 215/55/17 or will it still ride the same, has anyone ever done this kind of change?
Thanks

It won't degrade to a noticeable point.
I went from OEM 16s a couple years ago, to 18s and the ride was slightly harsher. However i was on stock suspension and didn't have any springs.
But in your case it will be near the same, unless you are super-sensitive, you won't even notice it has bigger rims on it.
**Remember get the right tire size. One that matches to OEM spec/sizing of your 16" tires. And not sure, but if the ES300 was offered in a 17" rim get the tire size that goes with it, otherwise the speedometer won't be 100% the same/close to.
Cheers!

Thanks for your suggestion, I will be putting the ES350 oem wheels on my car so it should be a perfect fit, and shouldn't mess up the speedometer.
