Default Mods I need help with

I need some help with some mods. First, the intake/air filter. How can I make a K & N air filter attach to my car ok. Will a MAF adapter from a early 90-95 toyota tacoma fit my car? i found the filter, but i don't know where to take my airbox off at? at which connector?

the gauge cluster inside the car.... i remember a long long time ago that someone took out the black, put blue celephane on the back of the cluster and put it back in, so now they have blue gauges. how do you get the black part out? did it ever fade?

The lights behind the radio? the green ones, can I change those to blue? if so, how?

eric,

i was looking into the air box problem too but couldn't come up with anything constructive. i thought at first that the k&n intake will attach after where the air flow sensor sockets are....just get it to screw on. as for how to attach the air box, i am pretty sure you can just "take it off" after removing the screw under and kinda to the left of the air flow sensors and the screws on the other sides. i think there was a flat plate underneath but im not sure. if this sounds confusing just ignore what i said. last thing i need to do is confuse other folks.

are you sure that is the air flow sensor, one guy told me it might be the altitude sensor, and that the air flow sensor was in the metal part just behind another fine screen

dood i dont know what your smoking (heheh jk) but flipside drove a Avalon and now he drives a Solara...so i dont know how either of those are applicable to the 1mz-fe filter installation.

They do make an adapter plate for the 1mz-fe as I have seen it before however, i choose to have the custom intake fabricated.

I noted on the installation of the KN filter with the adapter in another post.

Its not that hard to take out the dash, but you have to be very carefull becuase the dails on the tach are spring loaded, and if you take them off the wrong way it will be a pain to get them back on. I tried to replace the lights on my air cond panel, and every time i even touched them and put them back in they did not work. Let me know if you do it.
