Default 1998 Es300 Emergency Brake Problem

I have a problem with my Es300. Every time I start my car, my emergency brake says it is on. The only problem is, that it is not on.
All brake lights are functioning so it is not a burned out bulb and yet my BRAKE light on the dash stays lit.
After driving around for 20 minutes or so the light goes off momentarily, but then comes back on after a couple minutes.
It did the same thing a month ago for 1 day but stopped the same day, but once again came back up last week and has done it every time I get in the car. My inspection is due this month and I'm about certain the car will fail because of this. Has anybody else had this problem or know any way to fix it?

Once again to be clear. The BRAKE light on the dash is on but the emergency brake is not, no bulbs are burned out and I have no idea what could be wrong.

Welcome to the club! Fill your brake fluid reservior and that should fix the small issue. Make sure the fluid is good before topping it off

Just like Ariyanna said...brake fluid.
And find out where you are leaking brake fluid.

You might not be leaking fluid if its low, when the pads get worn down the piston has to travel father and uses more fluid. You might be in need of a brake job.

It was break fluid for me b/c I didn't fill such after 4 yrs. There was no leak any where, so 4 yrs is a long time. LOL

When was the last time you filled yours?
