I have 2-sets of rims to choose from for my setup...

First, I have some 17x7 IS300 wheels with 225/45/17's and secondly, I have some 17x8 GS400 wheels also with 225/45/17 tires.

I'm leaning towards the GS wheels as they're more rare than the IS wheels...but regardless, both sets have high offsets and know I will need spacers for them.

I am contemplating on 15mm spacers for the rear and most likely 10mm for the fronts (if needed), however am just curious to see if I can use the 15mm spacers in the rear as the wheel studs don't have much to play with already.

Has anyone used 15mm spacers on the rear of their 3Gen ES300? hopefully someone can chime in and help me out as these wheels need to go on ASAP.

I'm also coming off of 18x8 and 18x8.5 350z wheels, the ride was a lil hard, but they looked beautiful. Rims/tires are for sale btw...rear tires have about 75% tread and the fronts need replacing, I can source tires if needed (for a small fee of course)

I'm running 25mm ichiba spacers with built in studs on 18x8 et40 w/ 215/35/18. It's pretty good fitment after rolling the fenders

i'm probably going to end up going with those adaptors if no one can confirm the 15mm spacers fitting without any issues. thx for the input...

my stock studs were about 20mm long, so that leaves you with 5mm to tighten the lugs plus and thats not even factoring the thickness of the wheels. so im almost certain they wont fit without extending the studs.

In my opinion using anything bigger then 8mm slip on type spacers on stock studs are dangerous, but if u extend the stud enough for 15mm then it will be fine. I would use bolt on type spacer for 10mm and up, its a lot easier to use rather than changing out the stock studs. But feel free to correct me if im wrong.

i have 15mm bolt on spacers in the rear. there is no way you can put 15mm standard type spacers on the rear without getting longer studs. ichiba sells both, so you can decide what you want to do. i've had the 15's on for about a year and no problems so far. just have to shave the fenders down so no rubbing.

Im also using 15mm spacers in the read and had to use longer studs to get the acorn nut to tighten properly. I believe the general rule of thumb is that the lug nut needs to be able thread onto the stud 7-8 revolutions for it to be safe. I hammered out the old studs and replaced with longer studs and havent had any problems at all.
