Yeah local repair shop compared to the Lexus dealer is comparing apples to oranges.... I refuse to take a car that I paid $3k for to the Lexus dealership..... It is the expansion valve and your right it is the labor costs **** ME...

Go look for an ES300 at pick n pull (might get lucky) and try to get the a/c system. Just a suggestion.
