3rd gen: JIC mcv20 strut tower brace
Okay so I know there are plenty of strut tower brace threads, and I have been looking at all of them... but I couldn't find any info about anyone trying the JIC magic strut tower brace made for the solara of our years(mcv20). I want to know if anyone has tried it and if it fits..

BTW, my JIC coilovers are great! The ride is very stiff and I'm getting almost no body roll. My car handles like a dream. Only one problem so far is that my drivers side front coilover is making a weird spring popping noise whenever I turn the wheel slowly... I took it back to the shop and they said it's just the spring settling. I am just curious why it's only one spring making the noise? Anyway, I'm taking better pictures soon.
If anyone can fill me in about this strut tower brace I would be mucho happy.

Let us know how that one fits because I have a OEM Toyota strut bar and its not a perfect fit the hood doesnt sit flush when you close it and I tried bending the strut bar in the middle but its the same issue still so let us know.

angmedic- I heard that the TRD ones don't fit at all
ariyanna-I heard that on some es300s the oem strut bar fits and some you have to bend it.
so no one has tried the jic magic one? i'm surprised. I really want to know before i drop 160 dollars on it.

I have the oem solara strut bar on my 2000 ES.
It does make slight contact with the hood but nothing major. Id just put the oem solara bar to save cash, does the same thing as any other one, for less than half the cost (got mine for 30bux), just my honest opinion.

Uggggghhhhhhh! Dont tell me the TRD wont work. I ordered this past Friday from Carson Toyota, spent 180 after tax and shipping. Hmmmmmm, I wonder if they'll refund me, if it doesnt work on my 98 ES. I ordered it as if it was for a 99 Toyota Solara. Well, I guess we'll see what happens when I get it. Someone on the forum stated that a Whiteline or TRD would work on the 3rd Gen ES300 as long as you got it for a 99-03 Solara. I'm also looking into getting a TRD rear sway bar for the same year Solara to place on my ES.
Well, if the TRD bar doesnt work, anyone know where I can get an OEM Solara strut bar?

I had the OEM solara front strut bar, and it bulged my hood enough to where I didn't wanna keep it. But some have had better luck.
And yes the TRD or Whiteline Rear sway bar for 99 solara works
TRD Front strut bar i believe is to big (more Bulge to hood)

You mean TRD strut tower brace.. thats different from the sway bar. When putting on the Solara strut tower brace do I remove those metal half circle washer things that are under the bolts or do i keep them there and put the bar on top?
