Default Light scratches/scuffs tips anyone Bad Day

Hello!

After a day at school, I walked to my car and noticed that rear drivers side panel had some light scratches and scuffs.. I was so angry and still am. I went to Canadian tire to find a scratch remover and just saw some products that were from $7-15. I just wanted your guys imput on removing light scratches or scuffs. What should I do?

Thanks

Can you feel the scratch if you rub your fingernail across it? If you can, scratch removing won't fix it. Even light scratches that you can't feel take a lot of work to remove. I've used "Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0 Scratch Remover". It worked great on light scratches but I had to press down very hard and apply 2-3 coats.

It sucks, the best the scratch remover will do is fill the gash so that it doesn't begin to rust out...

I feel you though. I officially gave up this year. I saw some guy back into my front end, when i was 4 ft. from the car, i start yelling/flailing my arms to stop, he gets out and says 'What's wrong?'...

**** people, that is all.

You can't beat them, each day it seems i find 'new' imperfections in the paint.

Same with my Dad's RX330, each day some ******** has to hit him/scratch it!

Worst part is, i will park at THE BACK of the lot with no cars and walk 2mins to get to the store, only to come back and see two huge SUV's parked right beside ... and the lot is empty.

This is the slow and steady method. Buy some Megs Ultimate Compound and Swirl X to make life easier

I used Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0 Scratch Remover and bought a $30 on sale 10" orbital buffer from Sears.

My 11 year old ES300 looks like new after I spent a few hours buffing it out.

I usually go old school and break out the rubbing compound for minor/light scratches...

But just like any other product, it cannot perform miracles.

People are damn ignorant.

Try meguiar's scratch X or 3M buffing/rubbing compound. Both are cheap and readily avalible and offer good results. I have seen sucess with both products..You just have to hand buff the scratches multiple times with varying pressure to see results.

My ES was just scratched/gouged 20 minutes ago. I am SOOOO pissed right now. A family member pulled the car into the garage and it wasn't far in enough, but the garage still closed on the bumper and the metal hinges on the garage dug into my rear bumper.
Now i'm trying to figure out what to do.
