The interior wood pieces, are they vinyl or a hard plastic?

I am debating getting the same thing, but don't want to shell out the 130$ for it if it is *just* vinyl...

And btw, which logo/size is that on the steering wheel ??

And I know you don't care, but i will say it anyways, lose all that tasteless chrome junk all over the car, and it will be *i guarantee* 100x cleaner and nicer looking.

Oh and what is that 'thin chrome' strips you used on the tails/interior called? I am going to do it all around the car like the GS300/400's between the two body panels.

Interior wood pieces are a hard plastic, I got from Carid.com.

Logo size is 65 x 47mm and I got it off ebay from Hong Kong for 5 dollars, its a hard plastic covered with chrome.

I know your not a fan of the chrome, but I do like the chrome look, like they say, to each their own.

The chrome is from Autozone, its 1/4 inch chrome trim molding. Its a hard plastic with the chrome and I have it also between the body panels, like the older GS' and LS'.

Default Update: 20 Dec. 2009

Ok, well this it for the end of year modifications to the ES300. I bought this girl this year in April and have slowly changed her, as you can see from my first pics on this thread.

Since my last update I changed out my rear OEM sway bar and upgraded to a TRD rear sway and my grill was replaced with a 00-01 ES300 front grill. I also added painted eyebrows made from polyurathane. And the last thing I added was a VIS lower lip painted to match the lower part of the car.

In January I plan to replace my fogs with brand new Depo fog lights and install a rebored throttle body, new tires 225/40/18 and last, finally lower her with coilovers. Thanks everyone for all your help and information on this board, to the peeps also at Solaraguy.com for all your help and lastly to my bros at 818 Club Lexus with all your support and connections.

Happy Holiday and a Happy New Year!!!!!

Thanks Trexus, I didnt realize there was a difference between the 98 front grill and the 00-01 front grill, until someone on here told me. I then went with the 00-01 front grill, looks alot nicer than the 98 OEM grill.

Thanks Maxx941, yes I did cut the eye lines between the corner lights and the headlight, so I would have no problem removing one or the other.

The body your car looks fantastic. Have you done much work to her, or was it just a gem when you bought it? The chrome is slightly more then my taste, but I would like to have my wheels polished and was wondering if anyone can recommend the pro's/con's and where is a "quality" place to have it done or purchase additional "quality" polished rims. I had a BMW 545i that had polished wheels and I was constantly told that whoever did the job was a professional. Problem is I bought the vehicle and the rims were already done. I like quality or I won't do it. Anyways you have a nice ES. take care of her!
