Hi, greetings from the newcomer.

I have a es300. recently the 6cd changer stopped working. Instead of buying a 6 cd changer, I try to upgrade or modify the system. I'm wondering if anyone have the successful experience to put a mp3 player or auxiliary input for 1996 es300?

Greetings and welcome. If you want to keep your factory Lexus system but also want to be able to listen to MP3s, here is one option for you that works beautifully for me:
I bought a bluetooth MP3 player (such as the Samsung P3) plus a high quality wireless FM transmitter like Motorola's Motorokr T505 which is also bluetooth enabled. So, there's no wire connections necessary at all, no need for one of those crappy tapedeck adapter type FM transmitters that usually sound like @$$, and the MP3 sound quality coming through my car speakers is flawless and superb. My friends have often thought it was a CD playing when actually it was my MP3 player wirelessly connected to the car's OEM headunit. The Motorola T505 was about $100 and just clips to my sun visor. It runs on an internal battery pack and one charge usually lasts at least a week. The MP3 player I just keep in my shirt pocket or tucked away in the center console. A cool feature of the T505 is that I can easily pause/resume play and change tracks forward or back by reaching up and pressing a button on it while it's clipped to my sun visor. The volume is increased/decreased with the car's OEM stereo volume control ****.
