Ordered Key from www.toy-lex.com...
I ordered a key from www.toy-lex.com (Toyota and Lexus Key Specialists) about a month ago and have not heard a peep from them since. My order has read as "pending" online for the past 4 weeks. I've emailed them a bunch of times and no one has returned my email. Has anyone had experience with www.toy-lex.com? I'm starting to get aggrivated.

Last year I had a very good experience with them and they probably saved me about $1,000 by diagnosing what the problem was (the dealer was unwilling to even test anything and said I needed a new ECU, bah humbug). Were you speaking to Tami? Have they charged your card?

I am in the same boat. I ordered keys for two lexus' I own several weeks ago from toy-lex.com. My status still shows pending and I've gotten no response from phone calls and e-mails. I check my credit card online daily and the charges have not hit the card yet, so at this point I'm not out any money. According to the web site the owner of toy-lex has had health issues and I'm assuming that may be the issue now. I hope she/he is OK. Someone should at least disable the site from taking orders in the meantime. Can anyone recommend other sites for replacement keys (reasonably priced). I'm getting nervous depending on my duct taped keys I'm currently using.

Never heard anything from toy-lex. The charges never hit my credit card at least not yet. I ordered key's from e-bay (rocket-keys). $39 for 2 remote shells. Price included cutting the key and shipping. I couldn't find my key code and the guy cut it from a photograph. I put the remote stuff from the broken key into the new shell and it worked like a charm. I highly recommend rocket-keys.

This is a situation that really really sucks because I am looking to buy a spare key for my 94 ES300 and the cheapest I can even find is for $50 and it seems everyone in town has the same story saying that the machine to cut these keys are like really really really expensive thats why they are so far few and between.
I called both service departments in Tampa, Fl and the lowest of the 2 was $65 + tax.
I find it really hard to believe that you cannot buy a key online for cheap, Whats the deal guys? Share your experiences of where you bought your spares at and how much you paid?
