It's very easy to tell if you have clear coat paint on your car.
All you have to do is put a dab of maguires scratch x(clear coat safe) on a terry cloth towel and rub your paint if there is any color
on the towel you do not have a clear coat. By the way it is a fine product to remove light scratches and polution from your cars finish (clear coat) or not. It can be found @ your local wal-mart or most auto parts stores.

I've got some polish (actually the Meguiars that you mentioned) around somewhere but I can't find it; so I'm taking the easy way out and asking here.
My car is dark green/grey so I wouldn't be affected by something with the black cars.
