92 ES300 Gauges are not working need advice
Well heres my situation i have a 92 es300 and like i have been reading on this forum about the common needle lighting not working mine do...however my tachometer does not work at all and my speedometer only works a little bit like i will be on the highway and it will say im doing 20 mph. I am totally stumped is this a easy fix or does anyone know of a way to bypass something to make my speedometer and tachometer work again? my gas and temp gauges work great but just my speedo and tach are out any suggestions im open to all thanks

First of all, Welcome to ClubLexus and Welcome to the ES forum!
Sounds like you have a few broken sensors sittin' in your jewel. Ever thought about bringing it into a mechanic to at least take a look at your Wheel speed sensors and Transmission speed sensor? And whether or not it's an easy fix depends on how technically savvy you are..

yes i thought about a speed sensor i am somewhat of a street smart mechanic but never delt with speed sensors before and am having a hard time even locating the sensor....what would make the tachometer not work a sensor as well? or mabey wiring issue? not sure what sensor would operate the tachometer

Try pulling out the instrument pannel and making sure all of the screws are tight, especially the ones to your speedometer & tach. Also reseat the connectors on the pannel. The fact that your tach is not working indicates that there is at least one problem with the pannel self (engine ecu sends signal for tach to your gauges, so the fact that the engine is running indicates that the ecu is probably ok).
