Default Differential Fluids

Anyone ever changed their Differential Fluids on 02 ES? I have 110k on my 02 and never changed Differential Fluids. I've done transmission fluids drain/refill couple of times. anyone have diy writeup on this? how hard is it? any recommended parts, fluids in specific?

108k miles on my ES and never did it. I did do a tranny drain and fill every 15k miles and one filter screen cleaning. I remember several threads saying that the differential was built in and the tranny drain and fill was adequate and no separate diff drain and fill was necessary. I no longer have an 02 factory service manual so I can't look it up for sure, sorry.

when you drop the pan, atf pan, there is if i remember correctly 2-14 10mm bolts securing the screen/filter in place. its not very expensive either.
but as for the original question, the differential shares fluid with the tranny, and there is no seperate fill/drain plug for the diff. only thing is to drain and fill. or flush, but not with the machine flusher. the manual way of flushing.
goodluck
