Thanks but which ones are going to give me this look on my 96ES300? I know I need to get size 194 but I want these LEDS to lighten and brighten that license plate like its never been before.

Good luck!
Super Bright LEDs has had a bad rep from many of the forums I frequent. I can assure you that warden_jp2002's LEDs work great. I've had mine for over 6 months with no problems

I'm beginning to think superbrightleds products are junk.

Make sure to point them outside towards the plate, not inside. Being one sided helped me quite a bit. I did also put some foil on the inside to reflect more light out that was being shot back in as well

Use Resistor
LED uses low voltage. If you don't use a resistor, the first LED in a normal current pathway will flicker and go out first. If the pathway is from left to right, the LED on the left when you are facing the rear license plate will go out first.
I have an Audi SUV. I have to use one small 5watt-150ohm resistor with LED from superbrightled.com. Others brands don't last as long. There was enough space to insert the resistor on the left hand side.
I have not tried this on my '95 ES300 b/c I have no desire to do such mod, so I don't know how much space is available for how big of a resistor. More importantly, I have not seen a 2nd Gen ES300 with such mod, so I don't know how good or eccentric it will look.
If you use higher ohm for resistance, it will get hot and burn things around it, including the plastic parts and maybe the LED. If you use lower ohm for resistance, you will more likely to replace your LED quite often. Such wattage configuration works well on the Audi for single bulb with 6 LED. Less LED may require different wattage as well. Lexus may require different ohm resistance. It took me many trials to come up with this ideal configuration for the 2007 Audi. Good luck. That is the alternative for many LED mods on license plate.
Try and post some results for members here. Easy and relatively inexpensive to experiment. Start out with my configuration as the mid point. Use higher or lower ohm resistance and higher or lower wattage depending on how big is your LED as such is often dictated by space available. More LED, brighter the look. Anxious to see some results. Thanks.

The superbright LED's have built in resistors. Mine worked great for many months, then started to strobe/flicker too. Just a bad design on their part. I think that they just overheated due to the leds, and resistors being crammed in a small bulb package.
