99 ES 300, Low beams, Very Frustrated
Hey guys, I am having a bit of an issue installing some replacement HID (not genuine HID bulbs, but the "super white" HID bulbs you can buy without the HID kit.)
I was able to get my High Beam and Fog lights in, but for some reason the low beams are too small. They fit into the housing without any problems, but they do not fit the power supply. Looking at the original bulbs, the back piece (laugh all ya want, don't know what it is called) is about twice the size.
According to the manual, and the person I bought the bulbs from, they should be size H7. The bulb do say they are size H7, yet they still don't fit, and this is what is frustrating me beyond all belief.
So my question is, are there different sizes of the H7 bulbs?
Here is the exact description on the box "H7 12V 55W LL SUPERWHITE"
Here is a link to the auction I bought them from..

I do have to say though, besides my issues with the Low beams, the rest of the lights look superb!

Could you post some before and afters?
I'm guessing you've probably put the new ones in already, but could you post pics of what they look like? And if I'm reading the auction correct, did you get all three pairs of bulbs for $25 bucks?? I've been hesitating every day on purchasing bulbs because I want a specific look, but if they look decent, the price couldn't be bad for what's included.

Yes, I got all three sets for $25! He even shipped me a 2nd set on accident so I actually got 2 full sets of Highs, Lows, and Fogs for $25.
Not that I have installed everything though, I do have a small problem, I don't know if I just didn't notice it with my old balbs, but they are uneven. Not horribly uneven, not even sure if you can tell when I'm driving, but I do notice they are uneven against the garage door, so I am going to need to level them.
Should I take them to someone to get them leveled, or should I go ahead and attempt to do it myself?
*EDIT*
Actually I do not think that they are uneven, forgot that my drive way is uneven, and I think that is what was throwing me off. Realized this because my High and Lows were both off the exact same amount, so i highly doubt it was an installation issue.
Regardless I would like to know how difficult it would be to level them myself for future reference.

it is relatively easy...
using a 8mm ratchet is probably the best way to go..to adjust the height its the first bolt you see looking behind the headlight..its aluminum and the head it pointing towards the back of the car it also has a phillips head socket in it. i'll get pics tomorrow if needed.
