Default 94' ES CD Changer

Hello everyone,

I've done a lot of searching on the subject but haven't really found a definite answer.

My changer has stopped responding to the CD function on the radio control, the eject does not function on the changer itself and the open light is constantly on. I know that there are 2 power sources for the unit, i've checked every fuse and they are all good. The changer has never given me problems, no errors, just stopped responding one day.

Anyone have any other ideas for me?

I have no problem buying another changer, just want to know if there could be something else i need to check for.

Thanks,

Kev

It sounds to me like your CD magazine may be jammed. Are you sure it didn't go in upside down or backward? I would try pushing the magazine in slightly and see if it will eject itself. I know that if the magazine is not seated properly inside the changer, or the little door is not closed, the radio's CD buttons become inoperable. Good luck.

BTW, whereabouts in BC are you? I'm in the Mission area.

Hmm, can't remember if I tried that specifically or not. I'll go plug it back in. It doesn't make any noise at all tho when I try to reset it which makes me think its a power issue.

And I'm in Victoria on the Island.
