Default Dropping Hood Versus Gently Closing

Dropping the hood so it closes in one act or gently guiding it down and giving it a firm push..

I'm asking because I had a PDR guy say to me that he always does a drop because the latter could lead to dents.

Which is it for you?

i drop from about 8" away, because its not a drop from full open, and i wont have to push for the same reason your dpr? guy had said. but if you drop from too high, eventually youre going to need to readjust the hood latch. that is an item that goes out of whack at times.

PDR (paintless Dent Removal) I drop it, because yes, setting it down, then giving it a push can cause slight warpage of the metal.
