ok here is the situation. the car starts out fine, temp needle below C and everything. i can drive on the highway 80mph fine, no problem. Once i slow down it begins to be a issue.

The needle never goes to the H, but it will go to the 3/4 line, but once i start driving, the needle will jump back down to the normal 1/4 mark. I noticed when i drive at a slower speed i hear a reving sound but it dont sound like the engine. maybe the fan?

If anybody has shared this expirence or may have a solution for the problem, please let me know!

What are the unique elements of this problem?

It's quite normal for a car to be able to maintain cool temperature, when something is wrong somewhere in the cooling system, on the highway.

I'm sorry to say, you're going to need to run a diagnostic on this and tell us what you find out - if it's that unusual.

Have you checked the coolant level?
Have you checked the radiator fan(s) for function?
How many miles on the car?
What maintenance have you performed?
A/C on?
A/C off?
Have you replaced the thermostat?

Many variables.

Quick observation. . .
A faulty radiator fan will cause the symptoms you describe.
Low coolant will too.
Air in the coolant system will give you headaches of this nature, too.
