Hi i have a 2000 lexus es300 and the check engine light came on, I took it to get check is code p1130 which is the oxygen sensor thats bad, to make the long story short i brought one sensor i replaced it and the light came back on for the same thing, does anyone knows what else to do is there another sensor that needs to be replaced

Did you get the right sensor? You need an air/fuel ratio sensor in that position, not an O2 sensor per se. Did you get an oem Toyota one or aftermarket? Stick with OEM. Is it plugged in? Was the check engine light reset after replacement? Lastly, hopefully not this one--is the exhaust manifold cracked where the old sensor was taken out? This can happen when corroded sensor threads don't release when removing it and the manifold gets a crack in it.

I am battling this same problem on 99 ES300. You should've gotten Air/Fuel ratio sensor. Where is the sensor you replaced located?
I ran into discrepancy as to where Bank 1 sensor 1 is located. 97 ES300 has it it the front by the radiator, while 01 ES300 has its by the firewall.... I am still guessing where 99's is at

The only thing I want to say is to definitely get the Toyota or Lexus oxygen sensor. I went to a chain auto repair place with my 2000 ES with the "ckeck engine" light on. They apparently tried to save either themselves or me money by using some unknown brand of O2 sensor. Well the electrical plug didn't match, so unbeknownst to me, the mechanic cut off the plug on the new part and spliced the wires to the to the old plug. Well, Lexus Engine Control Modules don't like that. I didn't notice it, because this was the O2 sensor between the firewall and the engine, where it is hard to see, even if you know where to look.

The car ran OK under light acceleration. I only noticed the car jerking when under normal or hard acceleration. I finally took the car to Lexus. They replaced the strange sensor with the proper O2 sensor and then everything was fine except my wallet.
