How much would dealer charge?
i need full brake job on my 02 ES300
front rotors replaced with new pads
and rear rotors replaced with new pads.
how much would lexus dealer charge for jobs like this?
and how long does rotors last? can i just cut rotors and just have new pads?
i might just do it at home and take the rotors to parts store and get it refinished. how can i tell if rotor needs to be replaced ....

The part store will measure the rotors, If there is enough material, They will machine them.
Pads from the dealer are about $60 for front, and $60 for rear.
A dealer would charge about probly no less than $650-$800 for all brakes and rotors.

just do it yourself, i just replaced my back pads today.
You get more experience out of it and you get it hell-a-cheaper to.
Pads would cost from 20-30 for a set. So like 60$ all around.
Discs cost bout 40-60 each. so all together thats around 260$ for all discs and pads. MUCH cheaper than going to the dealer. Plus you get to make sure its right and not trust some guy in the garage.

Waffles, I need to replace my rear pads. How hard was it to do? I have done many front pads but never rear pads. I have heard they can be a pain. What kind of pads did you use. Thanks

the person probably doesn't know the different between philipps and flat-head
anyway .........
well, brakes are easy , for a reason. but they also intimidate some people, for a reason. leave reason be.
