Default ES300 AC Light is Blinkin....another fix

Hello DMD Dreamer,

Thanks for getting back to me. I was able to find the relay after reading other "posts" on the web site. I couldn't find/get the correct replacement relay. Auto Zone didn't stock them (two types) and Advance Auto Parts had one listed at about 18 bucks that didn't fit in the slot because of an extra "pin" on the relay connectors.

But some wise ole guy that worked there (Advance) took my original relay and went in the back. He came back with a relay that was just a little taller than the original that had the correct number of relay socket pins. The air conditioner started working when I plugged it in. That was about two weeks ago and everything is still working fine.

The replacement relay from "Advance" is Part Number R3154. It's made by BWD and cost............$10.00.

I'm gonna copy and paste this info on the site as well. You never know when information like this might come in handy.

Thanks again for your reply.

Do you have a diagram for the 2005 RX330? I can't figure out which is the Magnetic Clutch Relay.

Thanks!

"G" is the Relay, You could switch one of the other identical relays to that spot, and if it works, then you found the problem:

I had to register to make this comment......

THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION......this worked out well, I paid $10.60 with tax from Advanced. Dealer wanted $103 just to diagnose. I found this on the internet and saved the fee plus the parts fee.

Thank you

I think the manufacture of the relay was BWI

Default '03 A/C Relay Issue

I have the same issue as previously mentioned, flashing A/C light. I saw the picture of the part and Autozone had it for $13.99, but I don't see the slot for it in my engine fuse box. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Default No AC Relay on the 2005

I searched and searched for the AC relay on the 2005 RX 330, but eventually found out that there is no AC relay in this year model.

Still have no working AC, but at least I know to stop looking for the relay.

Thank you Emman I took your info ( got my relay from O'Reilly Auto Parts for $14 plus tax today. Part number of O'Reilly's is R6034 - "BWD multi-use relay". When I took it out of the box, the relay had 90987-02028 printed on it! My A/C is like new again!) and I went to O'Reily now My A/C is like new again. The fuse is location in the fuse box under the hood, took about 30sec to replace. I had 4 mechanics tried to charge me around $250 to fix the problem. Great job people a $14 fix.

Default Calumet, You're Welcome!

I'm glad I could help. Others on this forum helped me and I'm continuing the trend. Since you bought the relay at O'Reilly's, it has a lifetime warranty so you won't have to spend anymore if it should break down again.

gleighlady did you ever find a fix to you AC problem? I have the same issue on a 2007 RX350 and found this string of posts that seem unrelated to the RX. I can't find a relay on the RX either so I don't know if there is a fix for this or not. Any input is appreciated!

Default $14 fix

Truly amazing site. I picked up the relay for $14 at Advance Auto, followed the relay guide and installed the new relay in 2 minutes. Thank you to everyone who posted the fix.
