Hi guys, 7am this morning I authorized the shop to begin repairing my Carmen. So I wanted some opinions from you guys about some changes I want to make to the car.

I am thinking of removing the pin stripe. It's painted on my car, so the guy from the shop said he will test the pin stripe removal on the quarter panel he needs to repaint anyway. Next, I am telling him not to put the "Lexus and ES330" emblems on my new trunk. I am going to buy a new "L" for the trunk myself. The gold rubs off easily over time, I am thinking of puttng a real gold one on the trunk. Oh and I will finally get 30% percent tint all over the car, except windshield. Any thoughts?

I think that sounds pretty good, but real gold? I dont know about that...too many thieves in this world to do soemthing like that, might as well just give the gold away if you're going to do that. Pics you and car?

Save your money on the emblem and go with a clean rear end!!!

Hi Ghost...new to CL? Welcome.

Well no one will know that it is real gold, I just don't want it to rub off over time. The gold on one of the 3s of the "330" has rubbed off already. I have pics of the damage on another thread. I don't know how to put a link from another thread in my replies...maybe someone can help me:-)

I like the "L" emblem. Plus the trunk has an indent for the "L" I checked and the other emblems are stickers.

Yeah, I hope the pin stripes come off. I get a lot of people telling me to take it off so I'm starting to dislike it.

If I put the black pearl emblems I will want them pretty bad. IF I keep the gold, I might not change to the clear...why?? Are you going to give me yours?

Good choice with the pinstripe...Personally I prefer chrome or black pearl over gold...

aw, just got a call from the body shop, it might be too difficult to remove the pin stripe. he said he is going to try his best to make me happy.

I think JSM feels so bad for me and what happened to my car that he's going to sell me his clear bumper lights for a really good price...hehe.
