Ok, had the car for a few days. The wife drives it mainly so I haven't had a chance to play with it much but the interior lights in the front do not come on when the doors are open. The lights in the back do come on. Is there some setting somewhere I need to change to get these to turn on?

Just wondering if someone can shed some light on this...

I find it odd that your front interior light doesn't have a switch for you to change to "door"

What year is your ES? If you have a 00 like my wifes that one doesn't go on when the door is opened. It's a map light, the only lights in the front are the ones in the door. Hope this helps you out. If you change out your bulbs to leds then you can get bright lights that light up the whole interior I'll take pics of my wifes car I switched all the bulbs to leds with the exception of the glove box I ordered a led for it but it doesn't fit. But all the others can be swapped out.

Yes, I find it strange, too. They are map lights but, in every other vehicle I've owned, those lights could be set to come on when the doors open. Feels strange getting in with it dark in the front. I guess that's the answer.

btw, do you have a list of which bulb numbers to replace the interior lights? Either that, or where did you order them? I'm sure they'll have a cross reference there.
