Default Car Dropped - Before and After Pics

Uncle sam was nice to me this year so I decided to put a little money into my honey. Not really, my struts were gone so I had to change it anyways.

Anyways, I took some before and after pics in case anyone was trying to decide which springs to go with. I originally had my heart set on the H&R but after seeing the results of this plus saving $70 I'm glad I went with the Teins.

The before pictures are kind of crappy as I received the tein springs on friday and was able to get the install done this past weekend. The pictures were taken last minute.

A big Thanks! to everyone who took the effort on making the information available.

I'll take better pics once I get her washed up. Hopefully this weekend (maybe not cuz I'm installing rear spoiler on GX this weekend).

Thanks, the wheels are from IS300 so they are stock. I bought 215/50/17 because it matches the ride height from the factory rims (15") within -.1% so no difference.

No more ES 4X4 for me.

Edit:

The stock IS300 tires are 215/45/17 so if you keep it as is there will be a height difference from factory which will slightly alter your speedometer.

I should mention that if you buy the Teins make sure their not counterfeits because there are some out there. Here's how you check if their real or not.

Look amazing K! I think you made a great choice. The es looks very sexy, she was already sexy, but now she's sweet and sexy :-) How's the ride? So you lowered 2 inches all around?

She's very firm, just the way i like it.

Hugs me and the corners really well.

According to the manufacture specs its 1.7" front and 1.4" rear. I'll wait another week to let it settle before I get a final number.

My cars will never be as sexy as you LexGrl

Sweet I just ordered mine from the same guy now I know they are not fake. How long did it take to get in? The tint looks good from this distance but its hard to tell by the pics.

I honestly can't say how long it took cuz I wasn't there. My bro just took the car and was suppose to have it done on sunday but he ran into a problem taking off the front exhaust downpipe (small exhaust leak) so he had take an extra day after work to do it.

Yeah, I checked the springs according to tein's website and their legit.

Tint is smooth with no bubbles. When I get the chance I'll post up more pics. I'm considering about having her repainted but I'm planning to get the GS350 in 2 or 3yrs so kind of on the fence about that.

I must admit I'm lucky to have my brother to do all of the work on my car. He did all 4 struts, CV joint, oil pan gasket and exhaust downpipe and it costed me about $1K for everything including giving him some $$$ for his time.

I got it pretty quick. Ordered it late monday and because I couldn't make a decision on which springs to buy and finnally saw the teins at the price I could justify. Came in on thursday so i called my brother to see if he could do it on saturday as oppose to this coming weekend.

Sup Ken, Looks good man so you're running Tein springs with what struts? Hey do you ever carry a full load in the car. You know like 5 peeps at one time? I want to lower the wifes car but am afraid it will rub with a full load. I'm kind of a heavy guy to begin with. So with that many adults in the car I don't want to bottom out or rub. Not to mention the wife will be pissed if that happens. LMK

Thanks,
