New Rear TRD Struts and Springs & more....(3ES)
Finished installing some rear Trd a.k.a Bilstein struts and rear TRD a.k.a eibach springs. I previously had intrax springs on the fronts and backs. It was a nice moderately-low even drop in the beginning but it all ended when i put in a system and my rear started sagging like a ****. The rear struts have been shot for the last few months, and I was contimplating coilovers or just replacing the rear struts. But coilovers are just so damn expensive , so i decided to opt for new rear strut/spring setup which i found for fairly cheap. I know some may flame me for using intrax springs in front and trd in back, but it was a cheap alternative to hopefully having an even drop because it seems like intrax has the lowest front drop. For now, coilovers will have to wait.
Before:
A very old pic from when i first installed intrax ( without system)
Sorry for the blurry pic but this is how low it was with a 2 people in the back and a system.
Intrax on front and rear (with system)

After:
Intrax Vs. TRD
TRD suspension
Matching TRD swaybar, a little dirty though
Intrax springs with kyb struts in front;TRD springs with TRD struts in rear
a little too high but hopefully it will settle and become even with the front

^^^^its a 98 but it will fit on yours too. the guy i bought it from only has rear springs and struts. but you can find other springs and struts on ebay. Intrax springs are nice if you dont have a big system, otherwise the teins s-tech's have some pretty good reviews as well. Or the other option, if you have money, is coilovers.

So all the TRD stuff is farmed out? Bilstein, eibach, etc.? It says trd on it though. I'm thinkin of doin the same as you, no system just some 18's and a small drop the intrax looks like a good height for me but I have heard good things about the teins as well, that damn pipe near the muffler hits everything, ****in one size fits all exhaust. Anyone have problems with that, especially with people in the back? Also, won't the life of the struts without real coilovers(aka not sleeve over cheapos) be quite short? Every car i've ever seen dropped on springs even conservatively had blown struts within the month it seems, from mitsubishis to hondas to pontiacs. I live in upstate ny though the potholes are killer.

^^^i've had kyb's and intrax in front for the last 2 years and its been fine. no blown struts, yet at least. As long as the struts are upgraded as well, it should last for a while maybe not as long as stock though.
