Hi es3windom

the band expander just needs one live feed... Maybe from Cigar Lighter

then plug the old plug unto the Band Expander and then the new Plug into the stereo.. very easy to see just by looking at it.

You will need to find Jap car inporters in Australia as the band frequency may be different to UK.

They should have one you can buy.. or change the Stereo unit.

Steve

Hello Steve..

it's me again.. thanks for the reply..

me for being stupid and careless: ive snap the corners of my air vent!!! both sides.. and a flap from the air vent while trying to removed the air vent..

Ive pushed down the clips inside.. 1 fell off somewhere inside (is that a big problem??) and the other has 'clicked' down (is that right?)

Now i really need to pull the air vent out so i can superglue my air vents!!

any tips that can help me out!!?? im desperate

Also while pulling the air vent.. i noticed that the lever that goes up and down on the right hand side (Windom) of the air vent wont come off, but the plastic face seems to??. any ideas?

im sorry im just a newbie and sick of 1 channel on my stereo

thanks again!

did you break the face of the airvent?

these are tricky to pull out... i had to wiggle it for a while until it become loose. The air vent switch will come out with it as it is cable fed similar to cycle brake cable.. so there is plenty of room and is flexible.

it is a tight squeeze.

Afterwards no need to out the clips back in.. such a tight squeeze there is really no need.

A tip.. make sure you pull the vent out staight.. if you pull too much on one side you will jam it and it will start looking scary

thanks again for the quick reply

only the face i have snapped.. so it's no big deal as i can glue it back together.. but the important is i just need to pull the whole air vent so i can do it properly.

the left hand side seems to be loose and ready to come out but the right hand is kinda tight with the switch.. so tonight il be tying again..

1 more question: the metal clip on the right hand side is still visible ..(but flat).. after i have clicked it down with a screw driver. do i need to push it down further because this is where im assuming this side is soo tight

Btw, how did u pull the vent out.. with a flathead screw driver to loosen the vent? coz that's what im doing .. and im finding it hard to find a good grip.. urrgh

thanks again for the great info

Why is there two connectors on the back of the radio reciever on my 95 ES?

After searching the board, I still can't find the hardwiring diagram to my new reciever. I'd rather hard wire it than spend $20 on it, if they had the harness.

Much appreciated.

You just have to drive over to the local Lexus dealer and ask him to copy the page out of the repair manual. He should do it for free.

Here's what it looks like (see the pages 3 & 4 here) for my car:
2000 ES300

The 2 connectors connect to the 12 volts, amp, speakers & CD.
