MP3/CD/Radio Question
Wow! I just read the thread on "how to remove your radio". I also have an ES300 (98), and was wondering if anyone has gone ahead with the MP3 player for your ES?
If so.. which one? Right now I'm looking at a Kenwood... but I do have the Nacamuci (spelling sucks!!) sound system. It's double the hight of a regular head unit. What I really wanted to do was to put the MP3/CD/Radio player in on top and maybe a passive EQ underneath it...
Has anyone done that? Any suggestions?
Below is my dash board...
Thanks!!

I have just bought a face plate at autotoys.com
$19 which was a bargain!
As for speakers they are my next venture... i just want to get rid of this stock stereo and get something decent.. but would like to see how the stock speakers handle the new stereo.
I also heard a few people struggling with the rear speakers... cant wait to play with them

At last I have made some mods and ripped all of the old factory unit out and replaced it with aftermarket. I am soooo pleased i done this.
Here is a pic of the head unit wih the Auto Toys face plate.. very good too

Here is a pic of the Alpine 5 Channel Amp.. very nice indeed! This back box was built in so the amp could be screwed properly.

Here is a pic of the amp and the sub.. the sub is in a temporary box whilst i wait for a custom box to be made so i can shoot the sub through the rear ski hatch
For now i have this pointing upwards.

Here are the pics of the 6 by 9's in the rear.. I chose MB Quartz speakers which are very good quality... superb sound.. bear in mind I have replaced every speaker in the car with MB Quartz.. even the door tweeters

I Also had the old amp ripped out and in its place is all the components and circuitry for the speakers. Ie cross over stuff.
The whole car was rewired with top quality cable..
I will take more pics of the new sub and some of the wiring very shortly.
I am very happy with it so far.. the sound is very good.
