I'm new here to start with. So How is everyone doing?
My sister just got a 92 ES 300. The very first thing we did was change the oil.
I started by draining the oil, the changed the filter. Refilled it with oil and started it up. Now the check engine light is on.
I phoned my aunt, the previous owner of the Lexus. She siad that there is some "plug" that must be changed with every oil change. That was all the help she could offer.

I'm not a car idiot, but I felt like a simple oil change in this car was doable. I'm worried now, so is there any info you can offer on this "plug"? Have I really messed something up?

Hell, I have changed oil a million and one times, I felt this couldn't be any different. I guess I was wrong. So can someone please tell me the proper way to change the oil and what to make of this "Check Engine" light?
